EMDR Therapy

EMDR is a research-supported psychotherapy designed to help the brain process distressing or traumatic experiences so they no longer feel as overwhelming in the present.

Rather than focusing only on talking through memories, EMDR works with the brain’s natural healing processes to support integration and relief. Many clients experience reduced emotional intensity, increased clarity, and a greater sense of stability over time.

In my practice, EMDR is always used thoughtfully and collaboratively. We begin with preparation ad resourcing to ensure emotional safety before any trauma processing occurs. Sessions are paced carefully, and you remain in control throughout the process.

EMDR may be helpful for:

  • Trauma and adverse life experiences

  • Anxiety or persistent distress

  • Grief and complicated loss

  • Relationship wounds

  • Medical or birth trauma

  • Negative self-beliefs connected to past experiences

If EMDR is not the right fit, we will use other supportive approaches. Your safety and readiness always guide the work.
